Free Dofollow Link Checker — Find Nofollow, Sponsored and UGC Links in Any HTML
Paste a page's HTML and this free dofollow link checker lists every link with its rel attribute: followed, nofollow, sponsored or ugc, internal or external. It also catches a page-level robots nofollow that changes every link. No signup, nothing leaves your browser.
Paste HTML to list its links.
What the Checker Reports
- Followed. A link with no rel value of nofollow, sponsored or ugc. People call these dofollow links, but "dofollow" is not an HTML value. A link is simply followed unless you mark it otherwise.
- Nofollow, sponsored and ugc. The three rel values Google documents. Sponsored marks paid placements, ugc marks user-generated content, and nofollow is the general hint.
- Internal or external. Enter your domain and each link is labelled by whether it stays on your site.
- Page-level nofollow. A robots meta tag containing nofollow applies to every link on the page, even those without a rel value. The checker flags it.
- Skipped links. Anchors that are not web links, such as mailto, tel, javascript and in-page fragments, are counted separately.
How to Use the Report
Run it on a page that links out to a partner, a sponsor or a forum, and check that each link carries the value you intended. Run it on a page where you earned a link to confirm that the link pointing to you is followed. The tool reads the HTML you paste, which is the same source a crawler receives for a static page. If your page builds links with JavaScript, copy the rendered HTML from the browser's element inspector instead of the page source.
A few things sit outside the HTML and cannot be seen here. An X-Robots-Tag HTTP header can set nofollow for a whole file, and a link inside a blocked or noindexed page may not pass what you expect. Treat the report as a check of the markup, and use a crawler or Search Console to confirm the rest.
Dofollow Link Checker FAQs
Is "dofollow" an official HTML attribute?
No. There is no dofollow value. A link is followed by default and becomes nofollow, sponsored or ugc only when the rel attribute says so.
Can this tool check the backlinks pointing to my site?
It checks the HTML you paste. To check a backlink, open the page that links to you, copy its HTML, paste it here and enter your domain. The report shows how that link is marked.
Why is a link without rel still marked nofollow?
The page has a robots meta tag containing nofollow, which applies to all links on the page. The checker shows this as a page-level setting.
What is the difference between sponsored, ugc and nofollow?
Sponsored is for paid or compensated links, ugc is for user-generated content such as comments and forum posts, and nofollow is the general hint when neither applies. Google treats all three as hints.
Does this tool store or send my data anywhere?
No. The HTML is parsed in your browser with JavaScript. Nothing is uploaded, logged or stored on any server, including ours.
