What This Proposal Includes

  • An executive summary that states the client's goal in their own terms
  • A scope section with the deliverables for each service you tick, so nothing is vague
  • A phased timeline that fits the engagement length you choose, starting with an audit and setup phase
  • Reporting and communication so the client knows what they will see and when
  • Investment and terms using exactly the fee and start date you type in, with no suggested prices
  • An honest results section that explains how progress is measured without promising a ranking

Why a Proposal Should Not Promise Rankings

Google's own guidance for people hiring an SEO is blunt: no one can guarantee a number-one ranking, and anyone claiming a special relationship with Google should be treated with caution. A proposal that promises a position is therefore a warning sign to an informed client. The better approach is to promise work (the audit, the fixes, the content, the reports) and to define how results will be measured, for example impressions, clicks, enquiries and the pages that move.

The template here follows that approach. It lists deliverables and a reporting rhythm, leaves your price and dates to you, and includes an optional clause saying results depend on factors outside anyone's control. Treat the output as a strong first draft: read it through, add the client's specifics and have it checked against your own contract terms before you send it.

SEO Proposal Generator FAQs

Does the tool suggest prices?

No. It uses only the fee text you type. SEO pricing depends on scope, competition and your costs, so the figure has to be yours.

Is the proposal a legal contract?

No. It is a business proposal. Once the client agrees, put the terms into a proper contract or statement of work and have that reviewed where needed.

Should I promise rankings in a proposal?

No. Google says nobody can guarantee a number-one ranking. Promise the work and the reporting, and agree how success will be measured.

How do I turn it into a PDF?

Click Print / Save as PDF and choose Save as PDF as the destination in your browser's print window.

Can I edit the text?

Yes. Copy it into your document editor and change anything you like. The generator is a starting point, not a locked template.

Does this tool store or send my data anywhere?

No. Everything is written in your browser with JavaScript — nothing is uploaded, logged, or stored on any server, including ours.
